OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE
Bobby Saylors worked for the City of Bowling Green for 13 years as maintenance foreman in the Parks and Recreation Department.
Bobby always dreamed of working for himself. In the evenings, Bobby repaired lawn mower engines, weed-eaters, anything with a small engine, including golf carts. As Bobby worked on more of his friend’s golf carts his reputation grew as a top notch golf cart mechanic. With a loan from a friend, a small wheelbarrow full of used parts, and three carts in inventory, he started Saylors Golf Carts in 1981.
In July of 2008, John and Katie Ballance purchased the golf cart business, retaining all of the same employees and leaving the values, and goals unchanged. In 2014 John and Katie opened a new store in the heart of Smiths Grove, KY. Located at 302 Laurel Avenue, the Saylors Golf Cart Staff has over 100 years of combined golf cart experience, an inventory of over 600 carts in stock, and a huge selection of parts and accessories. Saylors Golf Carts is an authorized Club Car dealer, but services and repairs all brands of golf carts.
